Our head cheesemaker, Billy, has just been presented with the Mendip Medal for consistency and excellence in Farmhouse Cheddar manufacturing for the second year running at the Bath and West Show. Well done Billy!
Meet the team
John Higdon - Head of Dairy Operations
John is our Head of Dairy Operations, responsible for making cheese and generally keeping the dairy and staff organised. Having worked with us for what he decribes as “ten backbreaking years”, John says what he loves most about his job is making cheese using the traditional methods. When he’s finished work for the day John can be found motorbiking, enjoying time by the sea with his family or drinking lager! His favourite Brue product is our Vintage Cheddar.
