Leading dairy farmers visit Brue Valley
Last week a group of the UK’s leading dairy farmers visited us here at Brue Valley Farms. The farmers, who were members of Kite Consulting’s 10-0-1 club, toured the farm and discussed herd performance and management.
It is always interesting to get advice and insight from our peers and we enjoyed hosting the visit.
Meet the team
John Higdon - Head of Dairy Operations
John is our Head of Dairy Operations, responsible for making cheese and generally keeping the dairy and staff organised. Having worked with us for what he decribes as “ten backbreaking years”, John says what he loves most about his job is making cheese using the traditional methods. When he’s finished work for the day John can be found motorbiking, enjoying time by the sea with his family or drinking lager! His favourite Brue product is our Vintage Cheddar.
