We were delighted to win prizes in the Dairy Produce section at the Bath & West show last week.
CHEESE: Vintage cheddar - SILVER and BRONZE in two different classes
BUTTER: Salted farmhouse - SILVER ; Salted creamery - GOLD
Salted, branded, Waitrose Duchy butter - GOLD
We were particularly pleased to have won top prizes with every single entry we submitted in the BUTTER classes, proving that our relatively new butter dairy and its dedicated team are now well into their stride, providing high class butter for discerning customers.
Meet the team
John Higdon - Head of Dairy Operations
John is our Head of Dairy Operations, responsible for making cheese and generally keeping the dairy and staff organised. Having worked with us for what he decribes as “ten backbreaking years”, John says what he loves most about his job is making cheese using the traditional methods. When he’s finished work for the day John can be found motorbiking, enjoying time by the sea with his family or drinking lager! His favourite Brue product is our Vintage Cheddar.
